Twenty One Pilots' 'Blurryface' Is The Top Rock Album Of The Decade

It's been a productive 10 years for Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun. Since putting out their self-titled album in 2009, Twenty One Pilots have gone on to release four more records, tour the world, and win a bunch of awards, including a Grammy. What's even more impressive is the band's meteoric rise to fame after dropping its fourth record, Blurryface, in 2015. In fact, during its decade roundup Billboard crowned the project top rock album of the 2010s.

Blurryface topped the Rock Albums chart for nine total weeks, tied for sixth most of all-time, and stayed on the chart for 234 weeks — a number that is only surpassed by Lana Del Rey's Born to Die (262) and Imagine Dragons' Night Visions (259). Mumford & Sons' Sigh No More, Imagine Dragons' Night Vision, the Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol. 1, and Imagine Dragons' Evolve round out the top five rock albums of the decade.

Speaking of Imagine Dragons, the Las Vegas-bred band possesses three of the top five spots on Billboard's decade-end Hot Rock Songs chart with "Believer," "Thunder," and "Radioactive." Panic! At The Disco's record breaking single "High Hopes" is No. 4 — an impressive feat for a song that came out last year — and The Lumineers' 2012 hit "Ho Hey" rounds out the top five.
