Young The Giant Is Giving Away Gear To Fans Who Donate To Charity

Samsung Galaxy at Lollapalooza - Day 3

Young The Giant is the latest band to speak out against racism and encourage fans to donate money to organizations that support racial justice and demand police reform.

On Wednesday (June 3), Young The Giant announced a raffle via Instagram. "We are holding a raffle for three pieces of musical gear owned, and signed by us," the band wrote. "Each $25 donated to an organization helping in the fight for racial justice and against police brutality (DM us your receipt as proof, must be dated today through Friday) gets you a ticket. Enter for a chance to win one of the three items, and we will handle shipping."

The items up for grabs are an acoustic guitar, with a hard case; a Strymon blueSky reverb pedal, and a JHS Crayon distortion pedal. They'll be picking the winners at random on Friday (June 5).

Protests have been going on all over the world since George Floyd was killed by the hands of police officers over a week ago (May 25), and celebrities have been using their platforms to support Black Lives Matter. Panic! At The Disco's Brendon Urie recently announced he would be redirecting his Highest Hopes Foundation funds to anti-racist organizations, and Walk The Moon matched donations to Black Visions Collective.
