A video of Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley chugging a beer went viral after his team's 40-22 Super Bowl LIX win against the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday (February 10) night.
Barkley, who also celebrated his 28th birthday on Sunday, was seen shotgunning a beer in about three seconds as he celebrated his first career Super Bowl win in a video shared by the Athletic's Dianna Russini. The veteran running back led the NFL in rushing yards during the regular season and postseason and was the emphasis of the Chiefs' defensive scheme.
Barkley finished Sunday's game with 57 yards on 25 rushing attempts, which took pressure off of quarterback Jalen Hurts, who was named Super Bowl MVP after throwing for 221 yards, two touchdowns and one interception on 17 of 22 passing while also recording 72 yards and one touchdown on 11 rushing attempts.
Barkley signed a three-year, $37.75 million contract with the Eagles this past offseason after spending the first seven years of his NFL career with the New York Giants. The former Penn State standout recorded an NFL best 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns on 345 rushing attempts during the regular season and 499 yards and five touchdowns on 91 attempts during the postseason.
